Some of the biggest names in entertainment know exactly where to go when they want to unwind — and for “Queen of Comedy” Sommore, that spot is Sound Merchandise Entertainment.
Sommore is no stranger to our shows. She’s a regular in the room, and this time she was there for one of the biggest nights of the season: Najee at Crazy Uncle Mike’s.
For someone whose career is built on commanding a room, Sommore says our shows offer something different — a chance to simply enjoy the music without being the one everyone’s watching.
“I can come and enjoy some good music, be treated nicely, and just be a civilian,” she said.
It’s a rare kind of night for any performer of her caliber. “I don’t have to be ‘on,’ I can just be me,” she added.
Like everyone else in the room that night, Sommore was blown away by Najee’s performance, calling it out of this world. She was thrilled to meet him in person after the set — a full-circle moment between two icons in their respective crafts, sharing a laugh at Sip & Mingle.
